i've found that, as the title suggests, the intensity and symptoms of my dpdr will change throughout the day for no reason. like this morning, i felt very dp'd but suddenly it felt like something just clicked in my brain and my mind felt a bit clearer, though the dp wasn't completely gone. does anyone else experience this? how do you deal with it?

It's often like that for me too. These fluctuations in intensity are usually what mostly keep me aware of the symptoms to begin with. It's like tinnitus: if it's consistent, you can get used to it to some extent, but if it's constantly changing, it keeps reminding you of itself. I've tried to find out just what affects it but to no avail.

This is common in probably just about everyone. Just like there are better days than others. I believe it comes from times when you get lost in your thoughts and begin obsessing and self monitoring then something in the day triggers how you use to feel and for a brief moment you have clarity. Sometimes you can run with that and feel like it’s a better day but once dp symptoms pop up instead of just rolling with them we let them stress us and so the obsession continues. It takes a while to break the obsession cycle but that’s what it is.
