I usually have derealization and when it gets really bad, then I sometimes get depersonalization, and I was wondering: is there anyone here that primarily has depersonalization and not derealization?

I definitely primarily have depersonalization. I developed it when I was about 13 (intense thoughts about who I was, stranger in the mirror syndrome). I believe mine was from a traumatic childhood where my dad was very abusive.

Over the years, I got DR too (the world did not seem real, questioning the universe, etc).

I honestly don't know as though I have ever made any distinguishing difference between the two, and I really don't know if there are other than we have disorder A and that disorder, when applied to our surroundings, produces unreality, and when applied to self produces depersonalization. I think there is a common thread, a source to it all - and it's a matter of direction - to what it is directed - that produces one or the other.

I say DP a lot, but that's simply because depersonalization/derealization is harder to say and DPDR just feels weird to write.
