Ever since I developed DR (not so much DP) few weeks ago after a bad marijuana trip, I feel the following cognitive symptoms:

  • As if there's some delay in my brain processing information. It feels like I am seeing something but it's not really processed by my brain unless I really focus on it for few seconds. Under normal circumstances, we see/hear an information and it's immediately/automatically processed and integrated in our minds. But right now, it feels like the information processing is SLOW and forceful.

  • Feeling of not being 100% conscious, maybe only 80%. Exactly like when you just wake up from a nap and we are cloudy for 1 min before reaching full consciousness.

  • Weird, stupid thoughts train (like when we normally have right before falling alseep)

To me, DR symptoms really feel like what I feel when I'm drunk, or when I have a flu for example. Super woozy, I don't really understand what happens around me 100% and I'm too tired to think.

Do someone relate to this?

Thanks for your reply. Did those symptoms go away?

I think they are the symptoms that my fear really focuses on and if I could only get rid of those, recovery wouldn't be too far...
yes they will

I dont have them much anymore

you should work out . maybe jogging or something

and try to relax

also try to lower your anxiety . what are your fears ? face them !

thats good

I had symptoms that were even a lot heavier . I dont want to tell you because I dont want you to think you are getting it . but I thought I am losing my mind 10000% . I was in the psychiatric emergency severla times . now I am 70% or so better . not fully healed yet but it is not even comparable to the bad times anymore

Oh I do definitely feel crazy some times. Yesterday I was walking in park and suddenly, I have no idea why, I felt a rush of adrenaline and felt like reality was sleeping away under my feet. I can't even explain exactly what it felt like. I considered going to the ER, but then I thought "what would they do anyway..."

What did you do to start or speed up your recovery?
