Does Depersonalization/Derealization operate also on the same neural circuitry, with HPPD and visual snow?
So I read that the visual snow and HPPD are known to operate on the same neural circuitry, which mainly involves the neurotransmitter serotonin.
I was wondering if any one of you found any research showing a connection of DP to these two disorders as well? Basically, can we say that the research conducted on HPPD and visual snow may also yield results for the cause of DP/DR and the changes functioning of the brain or the other way around perhaps? If any one of you found any piece of information regarding this, I will appreciate it.
