As title, basically, for the last 3/4 years i've gone high and wide for a doctor to diagnose me,
Finally I found an answer but as with all cases this is very specific, I'll list some symptoms
DP/DR
Not sleeping for days
Tremors (Shakes)
Dilated Eyes
Feeling Stimulated
I knew it was adrenaline but 24 hour tests catecholamines never picked this up. Nor did the thousands in other tests, including a tilt table....
What did then?
A TILT TABLE Test WITH Catecholamines done twice with 45 minutes rest in-between.
Catecholamines
"Catecholamines are hormones made by your adrenal glands, which are located on top of your kidneys. Examples include dopamine; norepinephrine; and epinephrine (this used to be called adrenalin or adrenaline)"
So basically mine showed my adrenaline was far over the range, for this i will be on Clonidine (it's not an endocrinology issue however).
For me lowering adrenaline and curing my depression might be the road to recovery. Just putting this information here, as it's rare but some might feel the level of stimulation I am talking about, this did not happen at the same time as DP, more of a result of, but seems key to my recovery.
Any questions and I'll be happy to answer but i'm not talking about fight or flight and anxiety, more stimulation..
