I've been battling this DP for more years than I want to admit, and I'm finally ready to go to any drastic measure to get rid of it. I just want to be fully here. Not be numb, not be dulled, not feel detached. I want life to be more. If this were gone, I think id cry tears of joy.

No amount of ignoring this, or just going on with my life has worked. Naturally I cannot get rid of this. Even though I'm against pills of any kind, I'm wondering which medications have worked for others to relieve this. I know everyone is unique but i'd like to get an idea. I don't think many psychologists/therapists have worked with a lot of DP sufferers so I'm concerned they wouldn't know which angle to go at it from.

Hm...for me I have never thought that pills completely cure any mental problem...they are more aids than anything else. I'm also against pills, but it doesn't hurt to at least try for a couple weeks, right?

Can I just ask you, if you don't mind, what you have done until now to cure DP? I'm just curious because maybe I may have stuff that helped me that you haven't tried, and maybe you could try those before any medication?
