Something's changed in my feelings I feel my sense of self this is pretty sudden yet I'm left with the following feelings

: Things I've done today in the past feel very distant and long ago DR OR DP
: I feel disconnected from people which includes not feeling much towards them DR OR DP ?
:Life feels different not mine / slightly foreign DR OR DP ?
:I recognize myself in the mirror but feel disconnected from my reflection DR OR DP?
I've always found the difference between depersonalization and derealization hard to work out so any thoughts to clear this up please .

I'm hoping it's just derealization cause then it means the dp is gone ...
Please advice

Dp, at least for me, has always been a constantly changing experience, at least in the way I perceive it. As I always tell myself though, if Im constantly having strange thoughts and paying attention to my perceptions and surroundings, then I still have it. I think we would absolutely know if its not there anymore. Trying to differentiate between the two is probably not going to help or really matter if you still notice things that feel off.

Thanks for your reply
Yeah your right i guess it doesn't really matter it's not gonna make a difference

I get myself in to a frenzy trying to self analyze myself obsessing about how I'm feeling .
It always keeps changing like it does with you and starts this obsessive analyzing all over again .

I always felt like DP and DR are two sides of the same coin. They feed off of and consequent one another. People claim to only have one or the other, but I don't understand how that is even possible. Perhaps DR without DP is, for example when one is sleep deprived. But I think one of the above posters is right; differentiating between the two probably wont make a difference with respect to treatment and recovery.
