I was having a great day today. My recovery is going excellent. (85-90%) there. I was eating supper and all of a sudden i get these fast thoughts about exsistence and being a human and i felt my heart beat hard for a second and I paniced for 2 seconds and then I went back to being ok. Was this one of the last dying gasps of dr kickin in? Anyone who is recovering or recoverd, have you ever experienced this?

I can't say much because unfortunately I haven't recovered from dp yet. However, it sounds to me that if it's lasting for only 4 seconds roughly...you're doing very well :) . Unfortunately I can't give you more advice than that. I'm glad to hear that you're improving. I can't wait to be in your shoes. I'm up to a year now and I'm more relaxed in knowing that there is an end to all this crud.

yes, i have recovered almost fully in the past few days. Not to say i cant relapse, but i have got random bouts of anxiety that last for a few seconds and i calm down. DP/DR starts up for those same few seconds but then go away again.

I truely believe it is a matter or repressed memories we avoid by going into a DP state. Whenever something in our external environment could cue in that memory, we slip into DP because our brain subconciously remembers those memories as unpleasant enough to make us avoid them consciously at all costs.

YOU MUST REMEMBER THEM AS CONSCIOUS MEMORIES. try as hard as you can to think about the memories. It will probably give you geniune depression/anxiety, and you will feel like shit, but that is a step to recovery and the more you remember the less you will have to slip into DP for.
