Ever since my derealization came on which was about 2 months ago, I cannot stop smoking. I smoked a pack a day for 2 years, but in the last month I've been up to 2 packs a day and I only just turned 19. D*mn is this common in you guys with DP that smoke too?

When I had my first cigarette (Before school one day :lol: ) I felt totally out of it - but that was more of a headrush, feeling really lightheaded.

Having since quit, I can't really notice much dffierence. But then I only smoked for 4 - 5 years, and even then the most I ever managed was 20 a day on the odd occasion.

yea of course your more nervous than you used to be and you count on cigarettes to help.

hey there...yeah, when my dp/dr is acting up, i smoke a lot more! i'm trying to quit and i do fairly well until i feel dr or dp. it is a way for me to feel more in touch with reality...

i smoke a lot but i'm not a 'heavy' smoker- just destresses me....
