Hi everyone. So i was wondering if anyone had depersonlization/ derealization and then found out it was caused by epilepsy? I was talking to a nurse and she seems to think i have some of the symptoms of epilepsy... but i wanted some stories of anyone on here..

i have the normal symptoms of dp like..

i dont feel real

i feel high

surroundings look odd.

But sometimes i get a even worse attack where i feel soo drugged out of nowhere.... then i forget what happened 20 minutes before the attack.. after about 20 minutes i feel better.

Any thoughts?

It might be related to the seizures. I suspect epilepsy and have EEG abnormalities. I also have DPDR.
But I have had the supposed seizures for 7 years and the DPDR for one year, each starting with significant life events (seizures - stress induced, DPDR - med induced).
What EEG abnormalities did you have?
I have electrical intensifications (larger than normal spikes), but I've never recorded an actual seizure on EEG.
In which part of the brain?
They were much more significant in the temporal and occipital lobes.
