Hey guys, first of all,

I'm louis 17yrs old i smoked weed almost 2 years ago and since then the feeling never got away, it's getting worse, i'm not diagnosed because i'm scared to tell my parents, but since 1-2 weeks i get that strange feeling of being followed like by a ghost or something, it's scared me so much and it makes my dp feel worse. Am i alone or does anyone else has that too?

Thanks..

Welcome to the site.

Paranoia is common among depersonalization sufferers. From my experience, this is because anxiety latches onto a specific train of thought and makes it seem much worse than it is.

I worried that people were following me around and putting cameras in my room. After realizing this was a feeling generated by anxiety, it was much easier to control.

Why are you scared to tell your parents? If you don't mind me asking.

Maybe you could bring it up without mentioning the weed.

For me personally, it really helped having people support me through rough times.

Perhaps telling them could give you reassurance while you work to recover?
