I have been getting better recently but I got stressed out over something yesterday morning which made me feel a bit unwell, frustrated and it triggered a migraine headache, stiff neck and pain in my neck.

I went to bed hoping that when I wake up I would feel better but instead I got a frightening experience. When I woke up I felt a bit weak in my limbs and I had a tingly sensation. I then started feeling that I wasn't in a body with inner dimension but instead just a pair of eyes. This really scared me but fortunately I got better.

I am wondering if this could be symptoms of migraine aura or it was DPDR.

Is this a normal thing? a one off thing?

Headache and Stiff Neck is normal migraine... but the fact you are here makes me think this isn't new, but i've no idea.

All i got from this is you got better, which is awesome, hence probably no one felt the need to even reply and what people seem to forget here a lot is DP is normal, literally everyone i've explained to DP in detail to has actually had it, like EVERYONE. So if it kicks in under high stress, that's actually normal. Even my mum when i explained it a few times was like oh i know that feeling, so if you had it for a while, that's just normal, if it was a little longer than natural, learn the triggers and stay as far away from them as you can

Apologies if I didn't make myself clear but I suffered DPDR for months after having a bad panic attack in February 2015. The spaced out feelings, head and ear pressure, slight dizziness and panic disorders lasted through out 2015 until I got better at the end of 2016.

I also experienced feelings as if everything around me wasn't real and were fake as if I was living in a dream state which I believe is the symptoms of Derealisation. I don't get them as constant now but there are days where I feel better and there are days where I feel I have the horrible feelings again.

That experience I had a few days ago where I felt I wasn't in a body but just a pair of eyes looking at a world that didn't seem real actually scared me and nearly triggered a panic attack but I am asumming it was caused by migraines and the stress I was feeling earlier that day.

Sounds like you are having periods without this completely.. which is great of course.

I don't personally think it's Migraines, i think it's the other way round. Stress brings back your DP and stress will of course bring a headache on.

So yeah, stress.... it's awful stress. Have you ever considered even what I would considerer light medication? propranolol would be my first go to, it will stop panic attacks or should, it lows your heart rate, hopefully lowering stress, i defiantly wouldn't say it's addictive, i don't take it every day, been on and off them for 6 months, defiantly lowers stress, i'd call it a good first step medication but not noticeable. Saying as this seems to be a stress response, might be all you need....

As i said, i am assuming the migraine is probably from stress but I would guess this isn't actually a migraine, it's probably a tension headache from stress. What have you tired when you are having these headaches to get rid of them?

I am not a doctor of course and all this is just advice

Thanks for the advise. My doctor always mentions propranolol to me when I visit him but I am terrified of all drugs because of feared side effects. The reason I mention migraine is because I suffered an ocular migraine last month which made me partially blind for half an hour. It was scary and nearly triggered a panic attack. Fortunately, it didn't develop into a nasty migraine headache but I think you are right in saying that those headaches are brought on by severe stress and anxiety hence the DP symptoms and spaced out feeling with the tension and headaches.
