What's the best way to deal with negative emotions? I've had dp in the past, and recently I've been getting quite upset about some things because I'm oversensitive. I identify and feel these emotions, ie crying because of something, but I've realised I may deliberately disassociate from the feelings after that because they feel too overwhelming, and distance myself from the people causing them. I've then started to have other dp symptoms then I worry about it reoccurring.

Maybe try meditation to help you identify how your thinking affects your emotions? Daily practise can help you to be more of aware of negative thinking patterns. Otherwise you could try antidepressants of course. A low dose can help take the edge off negative emotions.
