From accumulating info over a span of years and suffering for nearly two decades from Anxiety…OCD…Depression…Depersonalization and Dissociation….I think it’s safe to say ladies and gentleman…get hormones checked…your are not crazy nor are you a hypochondriac…in fact it is misinformation that is failing you..there are various reasons one dissociates, some voluntary,some not…you must trust this safety mechanism even when you feel like you can’t trust your mind…challenge your feelings…you are real…you are here…you’re made of matter…you matter…despite what your whack friends tell you…this is not a simulation…
I was gonna tell you my story…how i grew up in a loving environment although busy and chaotic…how I turned from an easy going …humble…creative soul into someone battling internal demons with no name…learned many lessons along the way…I’m gonna tell you how to get out of your head and your own personal hell right now….I’ve got a survival list for you to keep your head above water.
0.Correct your diet…you are what you eat it’s true/ Excercise or at least go for a walk.. both will help lower cortisol and boost metabolism…but in dealing with a taxed stress system be aware of your limits.
1.You need to understand how your bodys stress response works
2.Grounding/ various techniques to test your reaction to stress/ability to calm the system
3.Build healthy support system and seek help…connect with people…your effort reaching out on this forum is a great step

4.Medical help is essential…you may see a hundred diff doctors and acquire massive debt…but guess what the system is rigged and we are all screwed anyways.
5. Fight to to feel alive again…If step 4 fails you keep goin til you feel like yourself and don’t give up even if the world around you falls apart.. be persistent and confident..don’t be sporatic and delusional.. do the research so you can call a doctors bullshit when you need to…challenge everything til you are satisfied.
6. People will tell you that you’re a snowflake and you need to “suck it up…it’s your new norm”….well…tell them to stuff it up their f$&&ing assholes..do not accept being a victim..this is your fight..don’t be bullied.
7. You are a product of your genetics and environment..connect the dots…I was an anxious kid…creative…perfectionist…grew up during an innovative time on the cutting edge of technology but being a child of the 80s also gave me perspective of simpler times in history.
Flash Forward present day…my system is now burnt…modern society and culture has fried us…blah blah etc.
We have fried ourselves period..fried ourselves….you reading this now…your fried..ur brain is fried and you know what that’s okay…you are human…so let’s fix it.
8.Please get your hormones checked…when they tell you your adrenals are okay and your thyroid are okay…well then what’s up with my cortisol? Ask them how your hpa axis is working…..if that’s not it well maybe it’s a vestibular issue…allergies..or…maybe it’s a neurotransmitter issue…copper/ zinc imbalance…gut issues..electrolyte imbalance…..point is once again…be persistent and confident that somethings out of place and know that when you hit your baseline for normal again it will be as if nothing ever ailed you…you will know when balance is restored, it’s intuition…primal and Instinctive.
This rabbit hole goes very deep… I know all of you are sick of goin to the doctors office and being asked how you feel on a scale of 1 to 10….literally the McDonald’s of healthcare…I didn’t share a lot of my history in this post but if anybody needs help or guidance please lay it out on the table here…I will share anything and everything…I’ve suffered tremendously and do not want anybody else to feel the level of hopelessness I’ve experienced…the only way to find the way out is together.
