Has anyone here had surgery while experiencing DPDR and have to get put to sleep with anesthesia? How did you feel after waking up? Did it make symptoms worse temporally or permanently etc??

I’ve had it. In my own experience, it feels rather weird and perhaps could make the “DP/panic a bit worse as they are administering the general anesthetic, but it’s only a few seconds before you’re out. Upon awakening, there are some residual effects, a bit of drowsiness and wooziness perhaps but the DPDR wasn’t worse nor were there any long-term lasting effects, at least nothing related to DP for me.

I actually enjoyed it. I felt very high for a few hours after waking up, everything felt right and very very pleasant and I was very relaxed. I could feel after effects for about a month, where I would fall asleep in minutes when laying down, even if i didn't feel very tired before. Having some insomnia problems this was very cool.
Overall it was a very good experience, and I understand a bit why opioids can be addictive. And it didn't affect my dpdr at all.

The only surgical operation I've had is breast augmentation. I don't remember having any side effects or complications after that. But I did the operation in a good clinic; you can find out about them on the website https://www.visageclinic.com/cosmetic-surgery/breast-augmentation/ . If a good surgeon does the operation and a qualified anesthesiologist introduces anesthesia, no one should have any problems because a qualified doctor will consider your health problems and allergies.
