NOOO don't do it!!!
My dp/dr is not drug-induced, but I did smoke some before its onset. I also smoked after, and it worsened it for months.

I got it from weed. And sometimes I've felt like it's helped, and many more times than that it's definitely made it a lot worse. I use it, but I think that's really unwise of me, and I really wouldn't recommend anyone with dp to do so.

Meh. I still occasionally smoke pot, despite my symptoms being drug-induced.

I know it isn't doing anything constructive, but I space out every minute of every day, regardless of whether I've smoked weed or not. I see such crazy ass visuals that the quasi-psychedelic part of the weed doesn't hit me like it used to. I'm stupid and inarticulate; people say I look stoned and glassy-eyed even when I haven't been smoking the ganj, and my short-term memory is shot to shit anyway. So I don't see anything wrong with smoking it. In moderation.

What I will say, however, is that it has taught me to relax a little.

I don't know, my depersonalization and derealization were also started by drugs but then again, I do still smoke occasionally but for about a whole year I didn't touch the ganj but I recently started to again. If you know your limits and you don't take too much because you might start freaking out you know but I mean I take maybe four to six hits max and it just relaxes the shit out of me. Im so anxious and jittery all day long but then when I smoke I feel so much more calm. I'd say do it. It has possibilities to fuck you up more but I decided along time ago that I was going to control my life not depersonalation or derealization. Its stupid trying to live around it, just do whatever the hell you want and stay strong enough to come over it. I still have it, but I try not to let it control me.

you all are idiots. im sorry, not to be harsh, but youre never ever going to get better if you keep doing drugs. trust me, i know from years of experience. you have to except the fact that youve got to remain sober to ever get better. and you will get better, it just takes vigilance. please the sooner you realize this the better.

I used to smoke a buttload of ganj. I liked it before , but lately i get almost nothing out of it. It seems that now (with what i think is dp) all the good feeling is gone and now it just makes me slow, tired and spacey. I can actually feel a very slight pain all across the back of the scull when i smoke it. I get pretty damn paranoid too. I can sometimes see very defined visuals when i close my eyes even. Last time in a dark room one of the visuals stayed even when i opened my eyes. Freak-deeky shit. I'm stayin off the stuff.

Adam 22 you are probably right.

My DP was not drug-induced, but I have smoked weed after the onset. It helped for awhile but then I started to freak out on it. Last time I smoked was about a year ago. Was not fun. I was laying in bed and everything was spinning... my DP got really, really bad. I thought I was gonna have to go to the ER. I started calling people and asking them to talk me down. Somehow I fell asleep.

But even when it helped it was for a very short period... a shorter fix than alcohol. I'd just be spacey and giggly for awhile. And I'd forget what I was saying like mid-word... which wasn't fun, that kinda freaked me out too... But yeah... eventually it made my sh*t worse so be careful. All the studies point that marijuana can induce DP.

No, but I've heard that some people with weed induced problems are being treated with a minute dose of it in homeopathic form. Anyone else heard about this?

Hmm... thats interesting. It seems that weed in mild and natural doses can help a lot of things. Almost all of the weed today has been grown using chemicals and manipulated some way to give it a super high THC count. Too much of anything can be bad. Why can't we just leave a good thing alone, it always has to be bigger, better and faster.

I wouldn't smoke weed again, you know when your stoned and people are talkign and thne your like what the fuck are we talking about??? Im like that all day, and it takes about 10 years for thoughts to register and or process.

Its like im stuck in a timewarp.

HAH

RiffRaff:
It's astounding;
Time is fleeting;
Madness takes its toll.
But listen closely...

Magenta:
Not for very much longer.

RiffRaff:
I've got to keep control.
I remember doing the time-warp
Drinking those moments when
The Blackness would hit me

RiffRaff:
And the void would be calling...

Transylvanians:
Let's do the time-warp again.
Let's do the time-warp again.

Narrator:
It's just a jump to the left.

All:
And then a step to the right.

Narrator:
With your hands on your hips.

All:
You bring your knees in tight.
But it's the pelvic thrust
That really drives you insane.
Let's do the time-warp again.
Let's do the time-warp again.

Magenta:
It's so dreamy, oh fantasy free me.
So you can't see me, no, not at all.
In another dimension, with voyeuristic intention,
Well secluded, I see all.

RiffRaff:
With a bit of a mind flip

Magenta:
You're into the time slip.

RiffRaff:
And nothing can ever be the same.

Magenta:
You're spaced out on sensation.

RiffRaff:
Like you're under sedation.

All:
Let's do the time-warp again.
Let's do the time-warp again.

Columbia:
Well I was walking down the street just a-having a think
When a snake of a guy gave me an evil wink.
He shook-a me up, he took me by surprise.
He had a pickup truck, and the devil's eyes.
He stared at me and I felt a change.
Time meant nothing, never would again.

All:
Let's do the time-warp again.
Let's do the time-warp again.

Narrator:
It's just a jump to the left.

All:
And then a step to the right.

Narrator:
With your hands on your hips.

All:
You bring your knees in tight.
But it's the pelvic thrust
That really drives you insane.
Let's do the time-warp again.
Let's do the time-warp again.

Jc mate - in my opinion, weed should be a Class A drug. Stay away from that s**t, at all costs. It will not help you. End of story. And any stoners or trip heads who come on here and say otherwise will get the biggest kick in the gonadia of their lives.

And yes - I HAVE missed the sub-culture boat. And I hope the bastard boat sinks.

Spot on Martin.

Though I'd question in your case as well as others if drinking is all that helpful. Clearly an issue with you since you refer to it repeatedly.
