In my experience, yes it can. But, it is like the "watched pot". Seems like it never boils. I wiped my emotions clean after 30 epileptic discharges in about 3 minutes.

I was agoraphobic, my family seemed alien, my loving dog seemed alien, and my home seemed alien. I had lost emotional context to the things in my life.

It took years and years for my brain to restore emotional capacity. My temporal lobe is damaged, as evidenced by EEG. In the interim, I learned to intellectualize

things, since I had no emotions. I actually prefer doing things that way. I had a discussion with wifey today. She had some strong feelings about an issue.

I said "look at the facts, and develop your emotions around those facts!" Shouldn't it work that way?

Forestx5 how long did it take to restore your emotions? And how did you go about getting an EEG? Ive been completely void of emotion now for quite a while. Its painful. I do seem to be a bit pissed of with everything at the moment. I guess that's something

It took years, and I got about 80% back. My emotions are still compromised by my temporal lobe pathology.

You get an EEG from a neurologist. See one, and say "I want an EEG".

They shouldn't be expensive, but I'm sure they are. They attack a dozen or so wires to your scalp, and a machine records your

brain waves in different areas of your brain. It doesn't take very long. Then a neuro evaluates your waveforms and issues

an opinion. My neuro's opinion was "you're disabled, take this letter to social security." Bingo! $2,200.00 per month for the rest

of my life, $1,000 per month for daughter until she turned 18. And being told I was disabled didn't hurt my feelings.

I worked for 40 years and paid into social security. They ignored my disability for 40 years. Now they pay, and I collect.
