I get this. Like my body gets tingly and I get this rush of heat. That's usually my sure fire (no pun) sign that a panic attack is on its way. I just go lay down in a dark room and focus on my breathing and think of nothing else but my breathing (do deep belly breaths), and it usually passes. I know it sucks. Take care.

Where do you experience this sensation? High anxiety can result in an increase of stomach acids (I had a bleeding ulcer once as a consequence of hyper anxiety).

Hi there,

I experience this sensation through my whole body, like my blood is boiling. I dont seem to be any hotter on the outside but as the last post said i do experience tingling all over. Perhaps it is stomach acid. I wasnt aware of that.....its just if you know what it is it becomes less frightening, well until you in that situation again. Thanks for the info though.

The feeling that you are describing can come from a high level of adrenaline. Your body is in the fight or flight response and this can be one of the sensations that come along with anxiety or panic. It is an uncomfortable feeling. I find if I go to where it is a bit cooler in temperature I start to feel a bit better.

gem.

Beat me too it. You may wish too try betablockers - I was on these for months to counter the physcial side of anxiety. They worked for a bit.
