Last time I posted it was to share how well cannabis in a 1:1 ration worked for me (that means half thc and half CBD). While I still absolutely stand by that and recommend micro dosing this type of cannabis, I know it's not accessable to everyone, so I want to share the prescription drugs that have worked just as well for me. I currently use propranolol and Zoloft and feel it is just as effective as the cannabis once was. Apparently, the high blood pressure that can accompany anxiety can trigger fight or flight which for us with DPDRD means dissociation. To be clear I don't have high blood pressure I'm just artificially lowering my BP a little to avoid triggering dissociation that occurs at the healthy high end of my range, and it works. On it's own propranolol wasn't enough though to match the therapeutic effect of cannabis, but combined with a high dose of Zoloft (25 mg) it's really just the same. So my advise would be to up that antidepressant, and try propranolol. I had taken Zoloft at a lower dose in the past for depression, and it never touched my dissociation. If you want to try cannabis do that. The only reason I switched was because the illegality of my treatment was stressing me the fuck out, but now I have no sex drive, so be warned. P.S. you can just tell people you have PTSD to get accomodations. People understand that, plus their frequently comorbid anyways.

25 mg is not a high dose, it's the minimum dose available. They generally keep it for children, but not only. Adults generally start at 50 mg. Or is this a typo?

My experience is pretty much the same. The effect of most drugs is dose dependent so if you take too much THC you'll probably become depersonalized and anxious. Many people believe CBD has an effect on them though the research is out in many of these instances. Blood pressure medicines and an antidepressant whose side effects I can tolerate gave me my life back, especially because I live in an environment that's triggering. My psychiatrist is also of the increasingly popular school of thought that not everyone needs to be on antidepressants for the rest of their life because some people make changes in their life and personality that help them immensely.
