Has anyone ever read this short story? By Greg Bear? I just finished reading it on my lunch break. Ick. That's all i can say. Made my skin crawl. It's about this "mad scientist" who injects himself with something akin to nanobots which can think and improve all on their own, so they rebuild the guy from the inside out...networking his spinal cord, speeding up his metabolism...but then the guy gets nervous and confides to his friend that he's worried about what will happen when these "nanobots" cross the blood-brain barrier, when they "realize" that there's a brain to improve. And then they start to take him over and he's describing what's happening to him inside his body while it's happening.

It really made my skin crawl. Anyone read it?

Yes, I've read it. Sebastian, you why don't you just walk slowly across a busy road. In would be much safer for you than reading that particular book!!!!!

Anyway, try taking cocaine non-stop for 48 hours. Then you'll really know what crawling skin is like. Actually, don't, but you get the point.
