Perhaps I should've posted this in the meds section, but I thought I'd get more of a response here.

I recently read this story here http://pub33.bravenet.com/forum/2800585483/fetch/510334/, in which someone described their story and an antipsychotic having worked well for them in treating DP.

I've been trying hard to overcome it without Meds so far, but, nearly 5 months in, I still haven't had much real success, though I'm fairly certain I haven't got too much worse. So I was sondering if it might be worth trying meds such as these.

Has anyone here had any success with them? Or are they not much use at all?

I am on seroquel quatipine, which is an atypical anti-psychotic.

It helps a bit, sometimes I feel my depersonalisation lift for a while but then again sometimes the medication makes me feel really zombified and lifeless and really really really tired, sometimes after ive taken my dose I just get knocked out and sleep for a few hours.

My detachment symptoms have been a bit helped by anti-psychotics but they do slow down the mind to a crawl, which sometimes is very very frustrating, and my memory is sometimes really bad, though this may be a symptom of my mental state.

Some other people might have a better suggestion for meds that work, but they kind of work for me, but they do have rather crap side effects.
