So just to let you guys know I have been doing great with my depersonalization just dealing with solipsism which sucks just a thought process I must break. Anyway what I wanted to ask is have any of you guys experienced this? There's just these times to say I guess you can call it the worst of my dp or what I would call it "my false awakening" what I mean by that is there is these moments where all of a sudden I guess you can say I'm very disconnected and everything feels centered around me and it feels like there is so much going on around me whether there is or not and it feels like I'm about to wake up from this "dream" or something big is about to happen or in about to wake up or die just something big is about to happen and the only thing I can focus on is me. It's a horrible feeling a nd I break out of it but just this horrible something big is about to happen and I'm the only thing I can really focus on and everything around me seems like so much is happening and just feel like I'm about to wake up! Do you guys know what I'm saying ? Please let me know thank you!
I can relate to what you are saying and personally I think it is extremely common in DP sufferers including myself, but what you have to understand is that it is just a thought and nothing else, it may seem more then a thought but it truthfully isn't. You have to realise as well that these thought that you are having have no meaning or invalidation, they are just complete bullshit. What you have to understand as well is that DPD is a thought disorder and there is a chemical imbalance in the brain and when there is a chemical imbalance in the brain you are not thinking straight or rationally. You are OK trust me when I say this. Please follow my page because it is extremely important to your recovery.
Email me if you have any concerns or questions
Thanks.
