Hey guys!

I came on here hoping for some advice, I've been aware of my depersonalization/derealization disorder for over 4 years now. I'm currently 19 and I'm doing my last year of college. Next year I'm planning on travelling and I want to apply to be a yacht stewardess.

I'm slightly concerned because in my experience my mental health is better when I have a stable routine, however being a stewardess I will be in a new situation each day and everything will be completely out of my control, also I'll be far away from my friends and family.

You may be wondering why an earth I'm deciding to do this when I already know how hard it's going to be, the truth is I just want to live my life to the absolute fullest and I want to push myself to be my very best me and I believe that the only way to do so is to shock everyone and to go so completely outside the box, even if it means losing yourself in the process.

I was wondering if anybody had any advice to help me focus and to be able to center myself when I'm asked to do something. I always feel very spaced out and tend to forget to do simple tasks, any tips would be greatly appreciated!

PS- Feel free to message me, even if it's not about any tips. I've always dealt with my mental health on my own, and I've never spoken to anyone who feels the same. Sometimes it's important to talk to people that you barely know who can be objective and understanding.
