i thought id run this by you all because ive noticed that early on in my dp career  i used to hyperventilate when having a panic attack but now (very rarely) i do feel symptoms of a panic attack, anxiety, burning skin....but i dont actually hyperventillate and gasp for air anymore....now ive worked long and hard on methods of dealing with panic and i just want to know if ive maybe reached that point where ive trained myself not to go into a full blown hissy fit...

cheers

my reply is an unequivocal yes.

i did the same thing...gasping for air, spinning room, thinking i was going to die...then i learned to breathe and i learned i wasn't going to die. now, i feel the anxiety coming but do not let it have the control.

congratulations, JC!

(still miss the Cheers mugs :( )
