Now THAT'S scary. You try to get in the cockpit of a U.S. based airplane these days - I don't care how sweet you are, and you would end up an unconscious heap on the floor. And that's if you were lucky.
It's amazing they let you up front. I see in the news today two Russion airplanes went down - apparently because of hijackers. Maybe some cute little Dutch girls...............

In the good old days, pre 9/11,it was advised that if you have a fear of flying to inform the staff on entering the plane and ask if you could meet the pilot and go into the cockpit.

I never did this because I felt that drawing attention to myself and my fear would only increase it.

Way to go Angela.I'm glad it helped.Glad you found it romantic lol
To be honest I've peaked inside the small confined area when bording and it frightens me ,how the hell they can see out of those tiny windscreens.
Ok,I understand it's done by intstruments but I just like to see where I'm going at all times......yikes,I've got it bad.

Apparently they are saying there were no hijackers involved in Russian crashes :?:

I agree with not flying on dodgy airlines,Russia and China both have bad safety records.
A pilot once explained to think of it like this..........if you wouldn't feel comfortable having surgery in a particular country, perhaps don't fly with their airlines.

Well that's a relief, now the Russians are saying the plane crashes were not due to hijackers but simply suicide bombers........ whooo that's much better
