I just found out I get to interview Aimee Mann for the magazine I work for and write a somewhat big story on her. How cool is that? I'm a big fan of hers. I guess they should probably give these assignments to people who aren't fans b/c just thinking about this interview makes me nervous. She's older and wise which for some reason makes me more nervous than the 1 other interview I've done.

If you think you might need some assistance with the interview, send me a pm regarding time and place. Not only am I huge fan, and older and wiser than SHE is..........but I would be willing to sell my wife and children for the chance to meet her.
Plus think how happy she'd be to meet me. You'd be doing everyone a favor.

Hi Gimpy,

Hey, cool for you, huh? I just did a little g  gle and saw that she is from Virginia. Now you can relax with a Southern woman, can't ya? Do remember she is from the South and hopefully still honors her roots and will enjoy talking with another Southerner.

Just enjoy the moment, Gimp. You're good. Your wize. And you know you're stuff...IMO or they wouldn't be sending you out to do this. There you have it. I just know you're not gonna go and get all stupid on yourself.
Are you?

It's just a telephone interview, sc. Not missing anything too big. I would rather do a face-to-face interview. Something impersonal about the phone that makes me nervous and think I won't get as much out of it.

I noticed she was from Richmond, which is cool b/c I went to college not far from there and am familiar with it. Don't know how strongly she holds on to her roots. Doubt much. Most people from Virginia don't seem very southern to me anyways, at least in comparison to Tennessee or Georgia.

Whatever you do, don't call her Miss Mann. Just say.....good afternoon Aimee. Or something like that.
And remember to say hey for me........
