it means to embrace it as if it's completely valid. just like with many cases of depression and other forms of mental anguish, rejecting it and taking meds helps only with the symptoms, but embracing it as something valid and trying to understand its reasons changes you as a person and makes you more conscious and more morally integrated and sophisticated. the moment I accepted DP as something valid, which was an epiphany and a decision, I didn't just start improving, but I started changing as a person. I listened to myself and what it was telling me, and after couple of months I recovered. I had DP for around 9 months.
