Could all this DP DR thingy be all a big long term lack of sleep ?

All of us seems to had a pretty rough youth and life in general, drug use, drama, trauma and on.

Right before my panic attack i wouldnt sleep for the whole day and night i would be sleep deprived all the time. It definitly has something to do with sleep. Its really wierd because i would go to sleep then wake up 4 hours later with my eyes all red and my brain feeling like shit but my body didnt want to sleep. Im glad someone brought this up.

My first panic attack and the subsequent battle with DP/DR were initially brought on by several months of getting 5 to 6 hours sleep per night. Near on 9 years later, a night which brings less than 6 hours sleep will still give me an almost unbearable level of anxiety and DR the following day.

inflammed, i didn't have any sort of traumatic childhood. my dp/dr was brought on by a combo of alegra d (allergy med) and orthotricyclin (birth control pill). i do remember that my first symptom of dp/dr was trying to sleep and not being able because of the ringing in my ears. i've always had tinitus but it hasn't bothered me before...i remember trying to sleep and thinking i would go crazy with all of that ringing...

i agree with inflammed 100%....if i sleep too much, or too little, i am in dr.dp hell for the next day for sure. I do think sleep and exercise can heal us from these sensations that we call dr/dp.
