ive an outstanding credit card bill which i had when i was working i am now unemployed and every penny counts...now my credit apr was 2.9% which was the introductory rate...i used to change cards when i was working and go for zero percentage then change cards..
now the problem is ive applied for credit cards and because i earn less than ?5.500 and am unemployed they are turning me down, and to make matters worse my introductory rate has finished and gone upto 20.9% which is disgusting....

now what would happen if when i applied for another card and told a little white lie and said i was working and earning over the expected amount

cheers

are you applying for one so that you can transfer your debt and get a lower rate again?
i suppose it's worth a try. they might do a check on you and refuse

i get credit card offers in the mail every single day. sometimes i open them and laugh.. then throw them away.. but i always throw them away. personally i think they are more trouble than they are worth.. and i dont like spending money i dont have. i think cause i know myself too well. im a procrastinator and paying bills is something im horrible at regardless if im working or not. i have one visa and its a debit card that way if i spend more than i actually have in my account i cant spend anymore. this is the only type of plastic ill have cause at least its safe and i wont have to worry about owing anyone in the future. besides i have enough outstanding college loans to last me the rest of my life and i certianly dont want to add to that debacle. :(
