for some reason i found myself thinking back to psych classes i took back in high school-- and remembered the 5 stages of loss. i hadn't lost anyone recently (knocks on wood), but then again i sort of have. myself. and i started wondering if the 5 stages of loss apply to the losing of oneself, too. if so, which stage would you say you're in?

You know I have often thought of this myself. The fact is we go through all of these stages when any sort of tragedy or crisis occurs. I am inbetween anger and despair experiencing a little bit of both.

Yes flowingly I would include intense frustration as well and I am also still going through instense shock that this has happened to me in the first place.

me too. it's difficult for me many times to think of my reality as a "mental illness"

makes me feel like a little kid having a tantrum

it's not fair. it's not fair
