I am 27 year old and have struggled with DPDR (especially derealization) for over two years now. In this period of time I have suffered a LOT, but I have also learned a lot and am slowly getting out of the hole that is DPDR. Hopefully forever.
In this time I used these forums a lot to...
prevent sorry for my english
I want to tell my story, I haven't recovered yet but I need help, POSITIVE stories, POSITIVE data about my medicines, because of hopelessness and fear I already have too much, so please without negative comment.
My story is simple, I never went on drugs until one day...
Hello, I have been suffering from dr for about 4 months, I have tried several medicines, ssri, antipsychotic and none changed my dr. I went to a neurologist and he recommended me lamotrigine, I'm taking lamotrigine with venlafaxine now, I'm 25mg twice a day but I'm not feeling any difference...
I am fully recovered now! So can you!
TLDR: In less than 1 month the combination of Lamotrigine (antiepileptic) and Zoloft (SSRI) cured my DPDR, anxiety and depression, from which I have suffered over the year.
Sharing my story on forums helped me a lot to accept and move on...
Has anyone experienced menstrual changes while on lamotrigine?
I am 2 weeks late on my period and have been taking lamotrigine for about a month or so.
There is no chance of it being pregnancy.
Hi guys, not really sure what I want to say here.
I've had very little luck with therapy helping the DPDR. I have found consistency in sleep to be a major help. But meditation and grounding exercises haven't made a massive difference. My psychologist wanted me go squeeze my arms and legs or a...
I was so excited when I found this site on reddit and I'm hoping to be a part of this community.
I've been mild/moderately depersonalised/derealised for about 2 years now. At first I didnt even notice I was feeling nothing. It's like a vacuum sucked the feelings out of me, I know...
Long time lurker been Dp'd since late 2013 or early 2014 not completely sure. I've tried every SSRI, SNRI, Wellbutrin, 2 or 3 SSRI + Antipsychotic combinations (Geodon, Rexulti, and Risperidone).
I have had no success with any of these except paxil helping a bit with feeling suicidal.
Good morning everyone,
I've already posted in the wrong section, excuse me.

Good morning everyone,
I'm an italian patient suffering from dissociative disorder not otherwise specified (DDNOS).
I would like to have some information about the pharmacotherapy of that disorder. I know the London Mix, such as a SSRI, clonazepam and lamotrigine. I'm currently taking 2 mg of...
Hey everyone! I'm relatively new on this site and I really don't want to go in full detail about my DP but I do want to talk about some of the negative and positive things.
So...here we go.
I first started getting severe DP on October 12th of last year. I'll never forget the day and where I...
Lamotrigine does not seem to be working for everyone. In fact, it seems to be making some people worse according to many views at this website. When you are so desperate for a solution and you have consumed the lamotrigine + SSRI option, does not clonazepam become the best...
I'm Gilles, 26 y.o. (today is my birthday), coming from Switzerland, so sorry for the english mistake :)
I have been suffering from the following symptoms since June 2015, and I'd like to know whether this sounds familiar to you. It started after 1 month of insomnia and 2 nights of violent...
Hi guys. I'm sorry if I shouldn't be creating this topic, but I'm really, really desperate. I'm not gonna tell my whole story here, but basically I've been dealing with DRDP for 2 years 24/7 (yes, I got the no-rest, no-space-between-episodes, constant version). I also have depression and...
I am starting a treatment of Fluoxetine and Lamotrigine today and would like to share the progress as it goes!
Age onset: Early 20s
Cause: Drug induced (synthetic cannabinoids)
Typical depersonalization/derealization symptoms
Thought I'd start a diary on my experience with lamotrigine.
A very brief background:
Am 29, Male, from the UK. Suffered all my life with panic disorder which appear as a result of DP/DR.
Started an SSRI when I was 17 and life improved to the point where I tried to come off them at 28. Three...

I am a 22 year old male from Portugal. My name is João Carrilho, but good luck pronouncing it :3
I have been suffering with anxiety and DP/DR for almost 3 years now. The...
I'm going to attempt to make this a short post but I'm willing to go more in depth if anyone wants me to. I have a ton of experience that I feel would be very helpful as far as medications go (ie what has worked and what hasn't). I also am willing to go more in depth with my...
**update 12th January 2013**
Unfortunately I have relapsed. 4 days DP completely went away, then it came back.
I'm going to keep pushing the lamotrigine up and see if I can get a sustained recovery.
Least I can see its possible. I'll keep you posted!
I can believe I'm writing...
I'm in a mental hospital in Sydnety Australia. Totally flipped out about this crazy shit!
I have been started on Lovan (prozac) 20mg and starting on 25mg Lamacital (Lamotrigine) that will be titrated weekly by 25mg to 200+mg.
Anyone else had any success with an SSRI + Lamacital...
