(That's what all the recovered folks advocate anyways).

can bpd and dpd be separate problems and separate diagnosis? i have dx of bpd but know i suffer from dpd. derealization is a symptom of bpd but in extreme stress whereas mine is every single day and can be very severe for long periods of time.
does anyone have both diagnosed?
Yes, I am diagnosed with both BPD and DPD. BPD in November 2008 and DPD in February 2010. They can both co-exist at the same time. And yes, ''dissociation'' can be a symptom, although I don't know if they mean depersonalization/derealization as well.

Going to a hospital might not be a bad idea. It will give you the time to get away from all external distractions...it's a ''safe haven'' as I like to call it. But when I read your post, hospital didn't come to mind. More of like an upscale residential facility, maybe? Hospitals don't provide that ''socializing'' factor a lot...guess it depends on what kind of hospital you go to and what your insurance covers.
And if this is comforting to you at all...I recovered from DP/DR after 14 months last April while I was in a psychiatric hospital. I was recovered for an additional 2-3 weeks after I left, but then I relapsed. Going back to a hospital (maybe the same one?) might give me the chance to recover again. That's my thought anyways.
