In my experience memory is one of the peculiarities of depersonalization, my memory is intact, I can recall names, faces, dates etc but I feel no emotional connection to them. I feel as though they might as well be from someone else's life.

Personally if i dont smoke a cigarette every few hours my dp starts to get pretty severe. Lesser of two evils imo. Ive also been a smoker for almost half my life now.

Its still pretty good, sometimes theres shit I cant remember, but for the most part I have a fairly good memory. My short term can be pretty sketchy at times however. I really think if it werent for all the drugs ive done and the dp, Id have next to a photographic memory.
Also, all this is subject to change depending how bad my dp is for the week.
