To cut the stress: Plan and meet challenges by thinking and acting using incremental, multi-sensory, concrete methods and activities. Plan for and begin each task as soon as assigned, or as soon as a stopping point/conclusion is reached with other task(s). You may be tempted to wait a bit, but if you force yourself to keep moving, you will be able to keep up with tasks, your way and without pressure. Take breaks when you need them, but not when you want them. Make lists, post them and requests from others where you will see them regularly. Any critical meeting/deadline can be noted on your hand to jog your memory. Also ask friends to remind you. Also, for times/events/activities that you know will be stressful for you, inform friends and ask them to send you helpful thoughts/prayers. This is how I made it to retirement from the horrible 1999-2000-2001-2002. Now I am attempting to begin my second career...
