Hey, I know the feeling.

It's hard but you have to take small steps: force yourself to walk to the sidewalk and back, go to the mailbox...

Slowly you can work your way up to go further and further. It's called Exposure Response Therapy and is very useful in treating these conditions.

What can also work is the use of antidepressants, though I wouldn't advise them unless really necessary.

First of all, welcome, you're not alone in your issues.

Then, it sounds like stupid advice now, but keep your life going.

Go out, do things you like (or used to like), and try to connect to life again.

Staying inside is making it worse.

In Topic: Is anyone seeing alot of floaters?

Everyone has these, but the obsessive nature of DPDR sufferers makes it easier to notice details like these.

Like how someone with hypochondria in terms of heart issues notices every skipped beat, it's nothing dangerous/important so you should just let it go.

In Topic: Said if I ever got 100% better, I’d write a recovery story

Hey Jack, thanks for posting this, these recovery stories are of much help to me and the others here.

This shows again that recovery is often linked to lowering the time spent analyzing symptoms and the self.

Living life and forgetting can help us get better.

Thanks again!
