I feel like I'm recovering but I can't be sure. My emotions are coming back, my personality is coming back, I feel like I'm 16 again but in a 25 year old body. It's unsettling and I feel hungover. I thought recovery would be like entering heaven and bliss and love and all that. But apparently this 9 years has taken it's tolle.

It probably feels weird after being stuck with this for years to recover, still you can handle it be strong

Nine years is a long time, and it's normal for those who begin coming out of DP to feel anxiety from it. DP has been your default setting for so long, so your mind is going to be incredibly anxious about such a radical shift in thought patterns. It's just more anxiety to overcome. Don't fear it -- you'll be out of this soon enough.
