I’ve been googling and searching around the internet and I’m just wondering, is dpdr life threatening? I know obviously it’s very distressing and it can hinder life goals but everywhere I’ve read, no one seems certain that it’s not dangerous. Google for example insist the anxiety version of dp is harmless but it never talks about if the disorder or other versions of dp is harmless. I guess what I’m trying to say is am I safe no matter what what sort of dp I could have?

Dpdr, dissociation, any other form of it is in no way life threatening. Its just a mental affliction. It does cause some serious problems for many people but its not something thatll kill you, its entirely mental like depression, anxiety and anything else, even if it feels like youve died or are dying due to panic. And before you ask, no you will not go crazy or lose your mind from having dpdr either, even when you feel like you are. :P
