Im dizzy and lightheaded and exhausted all the time. Not to mention I feel like I'm stuck in a bad acid trip. Its going on 9 years I've felt like this.

I think you need to sort this thing out with a consultant, could you be more specific as to what caused your symptoms and recall any events that made it this way?

I've seen multiple therapists and psychiatrists. I got it from excessive weed smoking when i was a teenager.

Oh don’t apologise! This forum is made for us who struggle a lot, no judgement here:) it sucks that you’ve struggled for so long. You said you’ve spoken to several therapists now, were you focused more on depression, anxiety or trauma etc? Were they aware of your dpdr and did they do anything to help you with that?

I saw several therapists, and several psychiatrists over 40 years of suffering.  Then I figured it out through my own research and made

an appointment with a neurologist who specialized in epilepsy.  I had an EEG and an MRI and my EEG was consistent with someone with a history of

epileptic seizure. Turns out I wasn't neurotic after all. I bet none of your therapists or psychiatrists thought to recommend you see a neurologist

and get an EEG, just like mine did not.  Upon receipt of my EEG results, the neurologist told me I was disabled.  I had just retired early (not yet 65), and now I had

an additional +20k in annual income, My daughter received $1k per month until she went off to college.  I became immediately eligible for medicare.  But best of all, I was able to

put my previous 40 years of adult life into perspective with the understanding of my epileptic syndrome.  Some people don't want to be bothered with

an EEG.  I understand.

Yep. That's what we're here for. Many times I just felt done and out of it and fed up. It's frustrating. It's downright awful. You just have to get through it.

Sorry I haven't answered. I've just been feeling so terrible. I'm going on 8 years constant derealization, no depersonalization ever. It gets better for a short period of time and then waaaay worse. I've had therapists, medications, etc. It isnt the type of thing I can just push through and go about my day. Thank you for all the helpful replies
