ONLINE STUDY: Bodily Awareness and Dance - recruiting individuals (anywhere in the world!) with DP/DR.
The Department of Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London is recruiting individuals with Depersonalisation-Derealisation Disorder to take part in this study. The purpose of this research is to study how dance/movement can be used to improve an awareness of one’s body. In this study you will learn to perform two different simple and engaging dance exercises. Before and after performing these tasks, you will complete questionnaires that measure your bodily awareness and mood. The study is held entirely online and will take place across two, two-week periods, with a 4-6 week break in between. You will be compensated in the form of vouchers (£20 for each two-week period, £40 total). We hope that this research will enable us to better understand the processes that impact on a sense of body awareness in DP/DR and to find better treatments in the future.
If you are interested, please contact [email protected] for further information! We thank you in advance for your interest. This study has also been advertised by Unreal (UK Charity for DP/DR): https://www.unrealuk...h-dprd-research
