Recently I have started working out whenever my DP feels too intense. Exercise makes my DP better. When I'm lifting weights or running my arms and legs hurt really bad but I like the pain. I also like it when I'm sore. The pain makes me feel more real, I guess. Can anyone relate?

yes, i've been doing the insanity workouts. It's basically the only time i feel alive and real, sweating a lot, heart pounding, but in a good way, and i feel good during and after for a couple of hours.

im glad other people find healthy ways to ease the symptoms other than getting high or drinking beer or all that stuff that is going to only create more anxiety and instability in the long run.....unfortunately for me I dont feel better after a workout I actually get easily offended and in a pissy mood if I do cardio and especially if I do weight lifting....its a real shame cause I used to LOVE working out and I got a relaxing euphoria from exercising but o well maybe I should still workout and it will go away who knows

For me the immediate after affects aren't always positive, but in the long run it will definitely improve your overall mental well being.

Wish this worked for me. Last summer I worked out like crazy. 2 Hours a day on an exercise Bike. Never helped my DP a damn bit.
