Well after experiencing terrible dp for two and a half months I took Ativan and it really helped. It's short acting but it gave me a break from all the anxiety and fear associated with it. I was laughing happy and hopeful for the first time in months. It's not a cure but I'm thankful for the peace it can bring. I usually don't lit meeds if try can be avoided but I was in a dire state. I hope we can all find some relief even if it's not perfect...better is great! I liked it better than klonopin. Now I can sit still long enough to do yoga and things that iv been to messed up to do. Yay!

because it's shorter acting it can also be more addictive then klonopin, just use it as your dr says. i like klonopin because I get it dissolving and it works in like 10 minutes, but i dont use it much.

take the relief you get with the medication and use the time to learn some meditation skills maybe
