described by people who have this disorder as being their own voice and having somewhat control of it even though it constantly talking negative to you in your head? Is it really a symptom of DP? Does it appear before the other dp/dr symptoms or after?

Apparently everyone has it ("healthy" or not), sometimes called the super-ego, inner critic or bad parent.
Defining characteristics:
Feels like its "at you" talking down to you (unless you wrongly identify with it)
Negative tone and destructive attitude
Does not know the facts
Criticisms simplistic
Criticism extremely repetitious (boringly so)
Not moral.(may seem that it is but will contradict itself)

The more repressed we are the stronger it seems, but it's just a question of recognising it. It's always down/negative, as a thought or a feeling. A sinking, blocking thing. Think, "have you got anything constructive to say?" you will soon see it does not.
It's tediously familiar, disrespect it, disbelieve it, send it up with humour or just wave it off. It's all smoke and mirrors, like the wizard of oz, behind it is just irrational fear and hysteria. Or, own it with role play. It's your energy, even if it feels cut off. Change it's direction by doing what neo did to the agents in Matrix: feel it from the inside out. For me it was a little grumpy angry guy with arms crossed and scrunched up face. Very resolute tho, empowering to steel my superego's energy!

I didnt notice my inner voice much untill the DP had set in for a few months.

It's good to know im not alone with this actually, ive just came back to this forum to ask about the same thing and i will probably start my own post on it later tonight.

It actually feels like their is a negative voice in my mind constantly disargeeing with what i think/feel. The more i resist the more it persists, i have had this for a year now and still fear it is not anxiety or DP related. It's not clear like a voice im not in control of, it's more like a spin off of my own thoughts.

It's fucking horrible thats for sure, ruining my life at the minute this shit.

The best way to deal with this is to embrace that voice; accept it.

Don't try to run away from those thoughts, they will just come back stronger than ever and haunt you further.

Embrace them, and then laugh at how pathetic they are.
