Paleo is as healthy as you can get!
I very highly recommend the Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson. It's based on Paleo Diet principle so it makes logical sense and is scientifically based. No faddy mumbo jumbo. The guy has done loads of research. Paleo is the opposite of government recommendations of how you should eat which is why there's an obesity epidemic and so many people are unhealthy.
You can get it on Amazon, but here's a link to info about it on the Author's blog (Which also contains enough information that you don't even need to read a book to learn about how to eat well) : http://www.marksdail...-blueprint-101/
Also check out Good Calories Bad Calories by Gary Taubes (Or the Diet Delusion if you live in the UK)
And this is a great blog post for information on why paleo is so awesome (The site itself is good too for fitness): http://nerdfitness.c...the-paleo-diet/
Good luck!
