I've asked this question before if my memory is correct  , but never really got many responses. I would hope anyone viewing this could just give a simple reply. I was wondering if when people here experience the emotionless, hollow, zombie state, does it physically hurt you? For me when I become so hollow and numb, the middle of my back becomes so sore, but it is very internal, as does somewhere in the middle of my head. That's the best i can explain it. When i have felt better over the last 3 1/2 years this soreness is non existent. It is almost like you could say I feel my bruised soul or something as odd as that. Some have told me its just tense muscles, but I know the difference and that is not what I am experiencing.

Sometimes my muscles ache in my body, but I can't prove it's related to my illness. I think they ache more when I'm less active!

I feel a deep ache in al,most every part of my body, especially my arms, neck and back. I feel drained and sore constantly. I think it's because we're all so anxious and our muscles are tense.

My whole body feels tired, I think DP gives you an overall fatigue.

Also, what about the headaches? Your head feels so heavy, and I get more prone to migraines. When I smoke, I get this vertigo sensations. I dont know if its related. Ugh, brain fog hurts!

I can relate to the tension, definitely. Last night was one of those nights when I realized how tensely I was holding onto something, really kind of making claws out of my hands, and I think I'm more like that with dp than before.

I too have felt like my soul is being bruised. Also I feel pain throughout my whole body at times. I have so many knots in my back/shoulders I need a massage!
