IMO, anyone who says all depresssion is caused by some particular thing should be expected to prove it. Especially since we all know that depression is a defense against oedipal hostility, or was it castration anxiety, or a B12 deficiency, or dairy products. . .As our colleague, Alex, has reminded us, depersonalization itself was known to be a defense against anal exhibitionism.
