The term 'Dinner Lady' usually refers to the women who hand out school dinners in British Schools. "D'you want beef and potatoes or sausages and veg?" Ladle out mush of stuff on to plate. Stout middle-aged ladies with big arms.
I brought packed lunches to school myself so this is a matter of pure indifferent observation to me.
