Dear Maurice,
Everyone responds differently to meds, and it is difficult to say why certain meds help some and make others worse.

I've been on Klonopin since 1987. Currently at 6mg. As far as I can see Klonopin has kept me on a pretty even keel with the DP and has not lost its overall effectiveness. I'm far from cured, but any bad spells I've gone through I can't really blame on the Klonopin. My DP/DR has ups and downs, despite a 24/7 of about 65% here.

I'm also on 60mg/Celexa per day. Was on Paxil, then Prozac before that. Of those SSRIs the Celexa has made me again feel "less afraid" of the DP and kept my depression under control with fewer side-effects. I will say for me, though again I am not cured by any means, this combo is the best I've had.

I have the belief that if I need these meds to stay together, I'll stay on them my whole life. As I said I've been on Klonopin for 13 years and I'm still here.... I'd say I'm still here *because* of the Klonopin... I was getting pretty desperate when some doc fillng in for my regular shrink just said, "Try this stuff." May have saved my life and I'm not exaggerating.

Everyone is different, but I would say this is a very reasonable comination of meds that has the potential to make you feel better.
