Dear Shanna,
Suffice it to say. I've had about every bizzare somatic symptom in the book over the years. I know that's not terribly comforting -- but, *you're not alone". I am doing much, much better than in my adolescence, and college years. I attribute the symptoms you describe to all sorts of hypochondriacal and anxiety-related sensations that seemed to come part and parcel with my DP -- well actually in the years before the DP finally settled in.

When badly DPd though I have felt so many odd sensations, mainly Horror, but your "heavy arms" seem to be well within the unfortunate parameters of this miserable illness. Again anxiety-related... sometimes, without knowing it, you may be hyperventilating and causing weird feelings like this. It *sometimes* has helped me to sit down, focus on something mindless -- bad T.V. game show, etc., and just breathe slowly.

I'm sorry you feel this way. The mind has endless means to torture us.

You will not go crazy!
Take Care,
Dreamer
